Use the Personal Touch to Get a Job

A recent study showed that sales people who used their prospects' names generated a 239% increase in sales.
The simple act of using a name can have a dramatic impact on your own ultimate success in landing a new job!
During your next interview, focus on remembering the names of the interviewers. Find a reason to say their name at least three times during your conversation. Repeat their name at the end of the interview to make a lasting impression. >vacancy
But don't stop at that. Make it a point to remember and use the names of the other people you meet -- the receptionist, the HR person, anyone you speak to during your visit. They'll remember YOU and maybe nudge the boss in your direction when it's time to make the hiring decision!
Here's a personal step that you must plan ahead for. After the interview, go out to your car and take out the nice notepaper you've brought along for this purpose. Write your thank-you notes while the interview is fresh in your mind.
In today's high-tech world, a handwritten note is becoming a scarce -- and appreciated -- commodity.
Place the note in an envelope and write the name of the interviewer on it (do separate notes and envelopes for each interviewer, if more than one). Go back inside and hand-deliver them to the receptionist... smile and use his/her name when asking that the notes be delivered.
Do you think any other candidate will do this? Heck no! (Not unless he/she reads this article!)
Have an instant advantage by using the personal touches of: (1) remembering and using names; and (2) handwriting and immediately delivering thoughtful thank-you notes! > employee

How To Tap Into the "Invisible" Job Market

Is there a company in your area that you'd love to work for? Do you assume that, because you don't see them advertising in the classifieds or posting jobs on their website, they have no openings? That may or may not be the case. That truth is, only about one-fifth of job openings are actually advertised!
Here's how to tap into the huge "invisible" job market.
1. Make a list of companies you'd like to work for that are likely to have positions in your field. When composing your list, do some research and take notes about each company. You'll use that later.
2. Obtain the names of the people in those companies who have the power to offer you a job. Simply call each company’s main number and ask for the name (ask them to spell it) and title of the manager in your field of expertise (or check to see if this information is available on their website). If possible, also get their email address and direct phone number. Don’t let the receptionist give you the name of the Human Resources manager (unless that is the department where you are trying to get a job) because your first point of contact should be with the hiring manager in your field.
3. Write and send a attention-grabbing cover letter with your resume. Address it specifically to the hiring manager in your field. The saluation should include his/her name and title. (Using something like "Dear Hiring Manager" in an unsolicited letter will likely cause it to be tossed in the garbage.) Say something specific about the company (to show you have a genuine interest and did some research) and explain how your skills and qualifications would help them achieve their goals. vacancy
If you can refer to someone the addressee knows, this will give your letter a big boost. For instance, "Jim Jones in your accounting department mentioned that you might have a need for someone with a background in direct marketing" (or whatever your field is). Yes, this is name-dropping, and it works! If you don't yet have a name to drop, do some networking... talk to everyone you know and see if they know anyone who works at that company; join associations that may have members who work for that company; go to trade fairs in which they may participate... and so on and so forth.
Your cover letter is extremely important because it's your first contact with the hiring manager.
4. Follow-up with the people you sent cover letters and resumes to. You can do this through email or by calling them. Here's a general idea of what you want to say (don't use this word for word): “My name is _________. I'm a graphic designer (or whatever your job title is) and I recently sent you a cover letter with my resume. I realize you are very busy, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could verify that you received it. I am very interested in working for your company and am eager to show you how I can be a contributing member of your team. I'd love to speak with you in person (if doing this by email) or come in for an informational interview."
If you're sending them an email or leaving a message on their voicemail, conclude with: "Please contact me at your convenience..." (leave your contact info; 24-hour phone number and email address). Any other steps you take will depend on the success of this one.
You might want to follow-up one more time after about 10 days if you don't get any response to your first contact. But don't continue pursuing it after that. Focus your job search activities elsewhere.
Even if the majority of people you contact say there are no current openings, these are not necessarily wasted steps. You are demonstrating a proactive approach, and employers admire drive and ambition. You may make such a great impression that you'll be remembered as soon as a vacancy opens up! employee

How NOT to Write a Resume

You can learn a lot about how to do something right by first learning what NOT to do.
Take resumes, for example.
I review about 200-300 a month, and most have at least 2-3 mistakes. Yet, all those hundreds of mistakes can be grouped into just a handful of categories, which you would do well to avoid.
Read on and learn how to write a better resume by avoiding the mistakes of others, some of them unintentionally hilarious ...
Mistake #1: "Golden Retriever Syndrome"
Never talk about yourself in terms that could also describe a hunting dog, like the following language, which appears in far too many resumes I see:
"Hard-working, self-motivated and dependable individual."
Tired phrases like that mean nothing to employers, because they could apply to almost anyone ... or almost anyone's dog.

Instead, dump the empty assertions and back up the claims in your resume with facts, like this:
"Proven sales skills. Ranked in top 3 among 78 reps for 5 straight years, exceeding sales quotas for 18 of 20 quarters."
See the difference?
Mistake #2: A Verbal Jungle
To improve your resume (or anything you write), read it out loud. Since writing is just words on paper, reading it aloud will help you write as you would speak.
Here's an example of language so dense, you'll need a machete to find any meaning:
"Directed assembly of elements from business units in engineering, development, program management, distribution, and legal to effect market research, proposal responses, and contract management into comprehensive, virtual, successful teams ..."
After reading that three times, I'm still baffled.
Worse, do you think employers have time to read a resume three times to figure it out? No. As a result, that job seeker is still looking for work, I'll wager.
Solution: read your resume out loud before sending it out.
If you find yourself gasping for breath halfway through a sentence, stick a period or dash in there and break it in two.
And if anything you write sounds less than 100% clear when you read it aloud, revise until it would make sense to your mother. Doing so will ensure that your resume resonates with readers at all levels, from HR managers to your future boss.

Dealing With "How Would You...?" Questions

If you're a newsletter subscriber or frequent visitor to my website, you know that I'm always preaching about proper preparation prior to interviews. If you research the position and company carefully, you can anticipate likely questions and prepare excellent answers.
But something I also tell job seekers is that you can never anticipate every single question.
I once had to respond to a "How would you...?" question about exhuming a dead duck. I am not making this up. The position involved community affairs work for a sewer treatment plant. How could I have anticipated such a strange question? It took me totally by surprise.
But I got the job.
Often with problem-solving questions, the interviewer isn't looking for a "right" or "wrong" answer. He or she is more interested in the thought processes you demonstrate to come up with your answer.
The dead-duck question was based on an actual incident, and the person who asked it is the person who had to deal with it. My response showed that I would have handled the situation differently than she had, but it also showed that I knew about problem solving. I didn't panic at the unexpected question; I didn't answer before thinking about it for a few seconds; and I didn't blow it by giving a lame response like, "Gosh, that's a really tough question! I honestly don't know what I would do in that situation."
Here are a few tips to help you deal with "How would you...?" problem-solving questions:
1. Ask questions to determine exactly what the interviewer is looking for. (This will also give you a bit more time to think.)
2. Explain how you would gather the information and data necessary to develop a solution to the problem.
3. Tell how you’d use the information you gathered to develop and analyze alternative courses of action.
4. And finally, tell them your solution or recommendation, explaining how you feel it's the best option based on the info you were given.
The "How would you...?" type of problem-solving questions are popular in interviews these days. You must not let them scare you. Don't rush your response and don't stress yourself out wondering what answer they're looking for.

How to write a cover letter?

Applying for a job or function? Chances are you using a cover letter is to respond to a vacancy. How to write a successful cover letter? Learn how you write an application letter with a letter and where you should look at. Finally, you can find two examples of a letter to get an idea how a letter might look like.Application Letter - Preparation
Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee
Before you go start writing your letter, you must prepare yourself for. Here are some considerations for a successful cover letter.Who are you and who do you apply?
Think carefully before you start writing your letter, who you are and what you want. What are your qualities? Where do you get energy? What makes you value the business? Why do you want to apply for this position?
Make sure you know who you send your cover letter. What is the company you are applying? Where is the company you send your cover letter to go looking for and how do you fit this profile? Read the job well. It is a lot of useful information disclosed in your letter. If your profile does not exactly match what is required, this does not mean that your cover letter in advance little chance of success. Acknowledge the discrepancy and keep this in mind in your letter. In a letter one looks not to the most perfect candidate, but for the most appropriate (in line with the organization) candidate.
It is also important that you know who you target your cover letter. Send your cover letter to your future boss or send your application letter to the recruitment? Search the Internet for information about the person you focus on your application. The person gets a face and you're more specific issues (which turn out positive for you) respond in your letter. Finally, you should be aware of the general information of the organization. This does not seem to be important for your application, but is essential for imaging. The letter - Writing
When you well know who you are, what you want and who the organization, you can start writing the letter. The ad you have already achieved what the profile looks which you must meet. This should, in addition to your enthusiasm, reflected in your cover letter.
The letter begins with the rise of writing. This is in most cases an ad. Mention in your letter to which one is going. In addition, specify what the purpose of your letter is (to call for an interview).
In the middle of the letter go into the profile of the candidate and then the company is looking for and what will you give your (work) experience, making you think you qualify for the position. This will be partly reflected in the motivation. Motivate in the middle of your cover letter why you are the person for this job. Do not be modest in your letter. What you should consider yourself: When I am on this point will be questions during the interview I can answer in all honesty, without which I do myself short. Not sure, let someone else read your cover letter. This person can also get spelling errors in your application that you yourself have had missed. It is clear that a cover letter any language and / or may contain spelling mistakes.
Finally, close your cover letter off. At the end of your letter you indicate that you would like to attend an interview for your application to explain. Possible closing sentences:

* I hope this letter for you a reason to invite me for a conversation in which I can explain things orally. For further information please see attached curriculum vitae.

* Please view my curriculum vitae and motivation in a personal conversation.

* For my further details I refer to the attached curriculum vitae. Hopefully I have informed you enough to invite me for an interview.

* Of course I am, if you appreciate, prepared in the background of a personal meeting to explain my application.

* I would very much appreciate this application to further explain in an interview.

* Obviously, I hope this letter leads you to join me for an interview.

How to Encourage Your Child's Career Plans

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Whether you have a teenager or a toddler, odds are you've heard "I want to be a [fill in your child's career of choice here] when I grow up."
Whether it's garbage collector, truck driver, ballerina, pilot, doctor, or veterinarian, it's easy to discount it. After all, kids have hundreds of wacky ideas every day. But what if we were to support it instead? Nurturing your child's dreams and ambitions is a healthy way to build their self-esteem and teach them the interesting things they want to know.
Listen to Your Child:
If your child is constantly talking about becoming an animal doctor (it's hard to say veterinarian when you're small!) why not do something to help them? Call a friendly vet in your region and explain how your child is simply enthralled with becoming a vet. Would they have a bit of time when you could bring in your child? Perhaps the vet can show them around and explain a little bit about their job. Many places of work alos particpate in "open house" type programs where they open their doors to the public. Make some calls and find out. Your child will appreciate how you listen to what really makes them happy.
Find Out Your Child's Interests:
Many children and teens are quite vocal about their interests and some are more shy. With a little encouragement, most will be able to tell you what they like. Don't be too pushy. "Have you thought about your future?" and "What do you want to do with your life?" may put your kids off by adding unnecessary pressure. Instead, try to notice the activities they do, and ask them questions about it. If your child likes sports, ask them if they've ever thought of becoming a coach someday. It's interaction that will get them thinking.
Don't Limit Them:
Everyone has a place in the world and everyone deserves a shot at doing something that makes them happy. Don't limit their choices by encouraging a certain job on them. "Oh, little Billy's going to be a great doctor or lawyer" makes little Billy feel inferior his whole life if he doesn't accomplish your goal, unless of course it's his goal too. Leave the door open in case it really isn't his goal. Remember to support your children by accepting the concept of non-gender specific jobs. Little Billy can be a nurse or a teacher just as much as Heather can be a brain surgeon or an engineer.
Encourage:
Do what you can to support your child without pushing them. Support their choices. Sure, you might not think your child will really be able to be a doctor if they can't stand the sight of blood, but they will appreciate your support. Some day, they may get over their fear of blood or decide it really isn't for them. Either way, the fact that you supported them and didn't mock them, will mean the world.
Encouraging your child in their career choice is a great way to tell them you believe in them. It helps them achieve a postive attitude and self-esteem. If they believe they can do anything, they just might.

Employment Law Solicitors: How to Choose the Right One for You

By Meena C Shah

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

You've just been informed that you are being dismissed because your job has been made redundant. While this may probably be the worst thing that has happened to you as an employee, it isn't the end of the world. Under the employment law you are entitled to certain claims from your former employer as a result of your redundancy. However, if you are like most individuals who have also been made redundant, it is most likely that you are not familiar with employment law. You need the services of an employment law solicitor.
Most people are often too intimidated to even consider seeking the services of an employment law solicitor. This has a lot to do with the fear of the costs involved with hiring a solicitor. Good solicitors are willing to provide you with a free consultation either on the phone or in person to help determine whether you do have a case worth pursuing. If you do have a case, the employment solicitor will provide you with an estimate of the costs and expenses before proceeding. Stay away from solicitors who want to charge you immediately without first hearing your side of the story.
Now that you have decided on seeking professional help, the next step of course is to choose the best employment solicitor to hire.
With all the available employment law experts and solicitors around, the main thing of course is for you to get the best for what you can afford. This is not of course to say that you should scrimp on your budget. Remember expertise does come at a price. Often the inexpensive services come from solicitors who may lack the experience or knowledge necessary for you to get the most out of your claims. Always look for the solicitor's credentials first then decide whether you can afford their services.
Another good way to choose the right employment solicitor for you is to check out the internet. Good solicitors will have a website that is both comprehensive and informative. You should be able to know the extent of the services that they have, experience, even sample case reports to know if they are able to handle your particular case. A website says a lot especially about the way a group of solicitors or a firm is organized. If you understand their website and are interested, chances are you will like the kind of services they can offer you.
Aside from a good website, good solicitors will also be easy to contact. Good employment law solicitors should provide you with all the necessary information for you to contact them and not just hide behind a fancy name for a firm. They should be able to provide you with a toll-free telephone number, a complete address so you can mail them or visit them directly at their office, an email address and an easy to fill out inquiry form.
Finally, your chosen employment solicitor should be able to talk to you in layman's terms and not try to impress you with heavy legalese jargon. You're trying to find help to understand something not find someone who will confuse you more.
Remember, employment law solicitors are there to help you make something positive out of your negative situation so strive to always find the ones who can help you make the most out of your redundancy.

First steps towards building an effective work environment

By valeska.wordpress.com

Companies normally turn to team building, training, arguments, and many more techniques in attempt to resolve internal conflict.

However, people make decisions based on judgment. How will this benefit me? Am I wasting my time? Why am I being sucked into doing someone else’s job?
There are many principles as to how decisions are made and what motivates people. However, by having a clear understanding of how the business process is supposed to flow within an organization greatly diminishes staff placing the responsibility on someone else.

You may find your team frustrated and complaining. You may experience an increase in project delays. Sometimes upper management feels they need to dictate to colleagues “how things should be,” but this management syle only creates barriers from receiving honest insight from your colleagues and increases defensiveness. Creating a system that allows colleagues to pose “solutions” with their team will instill a behavior that allows them to continuously strive to find the best ways to work together.
Business Rule Tip!

a) If you have an intranet system or an internal blog, create a folder where everyone is allowed to contribute “solutions.” Anytime someone has a complaint or wants to criticize how things are done, they should pose a “solution” to proactively show an alternative way to deal with the issue. Encourage your team to provide useful suggestions on ways to improve “our” company efficiencies and an overall smoother operation. Important to explain how each suggestion must have a purpose, focus and clear communication as to the “why” and “what” you are trying to accomplish. This will increase “buy in” and prevent staff from taking these new suggestions personally. Please note: It is very important for senior managers to review these suggestions on a bi-weekly or monthly basis to enforce policies. If months pass before decisions are made, suggestions will decrease, while frustration increases.

Analyzing said suggestions from your colleagues will help to reveal “real problems”, and most likely reasonable solutions to those problems.

I have a question for you: how many times does upper management make decisions without asking those who are involved in the day-to-day activities?

Fixes made without asking those who are involved will negatively affect other processes further down the project cycle.
Business Rule Tip!

a) It is important to understand how each process affects another function within the work environment. Learning “Process Mapping” will help you to see how one activity affects another and reveal where there are areas of opportunity for process improvement. By demonstrating to your team how each activity supports the other, colleagues will begin to understand how each player contributes to the team as a whole.

The work environment is a GROUP effort. By cultivating this change in thinking amongst your players, they will better understand how their strengths benefit others. By creating a supportive network, colleagues will understand who to go to for help. By maximizing each other’s strengths, the synergy amongst all will allow the company to propel forward.

Business Rule Tip!

a) Build Trust. By creating an environment where each individual understands they are all part of a team and helping one another professionally, trust occurs. Reach out to others when asked for guidance. Practice good communication. When conflict occurs, teams who have trust tend to quickly overcome conflicts in order to move on with business goals.

b) Compassion, Respect, and Patience breeds response. Relating to each other’s unique qualities and job positions during high levels of stress will create quicker turn around on your business goals. An interesting article that reinforces this methodology is called: The Power of Nice.

Step by Step Guide to Employee Satisfaction Surveys

By Martin Day

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

The benefit of running an annual employee survey has for a long time been widely accepted but many organizations have been put off by the amount of effort that is required.
Many organizations who have bit the bullet and conducted their own internal employee satisfaction surveys have often relied on word-processors to allow them to design and compile a survey, then gone through the effort of printing and distributing the survey and spent time chasing and collecting the completed surveys and then even more time transferring the survey response information into a meaningful management report.
Fortunately with the introduction of the Internet and hosted survey websites like www.surveygalaxy.com what was once a time consuming, resource hungry, long winded and cumbersome process is now slick, quick and easy.
This document provides a step by step guide to help implement a survey that will bring considerable benefits to any organization.
Step 1 - Identifying The Need
The reasons an organization would need a survey are as wide and they are long. Listed here are a few of the common reason why employee satisfaction surveys are conducted.
Event Driven
If your organization is about to embark, or is going through, a change management program employee surveys can assist in managing the change, measuring the effectiveness of the change, help to deliver a 'message' and gather valuable feedback throughout the change cycle.
For organizations that are experiencing rapid growth employee surveys can monitor internal communications and management structures to ensure that employees are aware of their reporting and management responsibilities.
Where an organization is suffering from poor moral brought on by either internal or external influences an employee survey can be used to identify the specific concerns of employees so those concerns can be properly addressed.
Where there is an increase in turnover of staff employee surveys can help an organization identify the underlying cause of employee unrest and through their findings help find solutions.
Periodically
As part of a periodic assessment, surveys will help an organization review their personnel and monitor on an individual level job satisfaction, training and career development.
Employee surveys also offer senior management the opportunity to look at the soft underbelly of their organization to confirm that their 'top down' view of the organization matches the reality and 'bottom up' perspective.
With the help of employee surveys an organization can establish good employer/employee communication that will in turn bring both direct and indirect benefits.
Step 2 - Management Buy-In
Management buy-in is always desirable for any initiative and many will argue that it is essential to ensure a successful employee survey, however, in some instances the findings of an employee survey can lead to kick-starting a management that has grown complacent and detached from their employees.
Some organization may be fortunate in that the senior management recognize and drive the need for employee surveys, while in others the management may need to first be convinced of the direct and indirect benefits an employee survey will bring.
The level of management commitment to an employee survey will have some bearing on the nature of the survey and to some extent will help determine what questions are to be asked and the manner they are asked.
A management that is supportive of the initiative may require feedback on specific areas of the business or they may give the go ahead because they feel confident that the results will only confirm that the level of employee satisfaction throughout the organization is high.
In nearly all cases it is good practice to at least try and get management to buy-in to the employee survey from the very start as they have a lot to gain and are in a position to effect any change that is later identified as being required.
Step 3 - Designing The Survey
Designing a good survey will take some time and effort but by following the basics of survey design and concentrating on the 'need to know' questions and removing the 'nice to know' a survey will rapidly take shape.
Determining the exact questions that should be asked will be entirely dependent on the individual organization, its structure and the previously identified primary need and objectives of the employee survey.
When considering what questions to ask consideration should be given to how the results are to be analyzed. For example there may be a desire to ask for individual comments but these types of answer formats can be very time consuming and cumbersome to analyze and should therefore be avoided or used sparingly.
With online surveys it is generally better to do a few smaller surveys than one very long survey as the longer the survey the higher the drop out rate will be.
Step 4 - Proof Reading And Testing
Grammar, Spelling And Clarity
Before publishing the survey make a careful check for spelling and typing mistakes and incorrect grammar. If available it is always better to have someone who has not been involved in designing the survey to proof read the survey with clean eyes, if no one is available try to take a break before checking through the survey again.
Say What You Mean And Mean What You Say
When checking the survey you need to consider the survey from the viewpoint of the respondent, you may know what you mean by each question but will the questions be clear to the employee?
Allow The Employee To Answer Truthfully
For closed questions where the employee will be required to choose from a number of available responses have you allowed the employee to answer accurately? Make use of responses like 'Don't know', 'No comment' or 'Not Applicable' where you have made the question mandatory but the employee may not be able to answer.
Consider allowing the employee to include an 'Other' answer but also appreciate that 'Other' answers will add to the complexity when analyzing the survey results.
Don't Require A Response To Questions That May Not Have One
Check that for any questions that you have made mandatory you do require an answer, for example open questions such as asking for additional comments should not be mandatory unless you definitely require the respondent to write a comment.
Check You Will Be Able To Analyze The Data
Check through the survey again but this time looking at how the results of the survey will be analyzed. Consider how you are likely to want to analyze the survey data, have you asked the right questions to be able to perform detailed analysis? For example if you wanted to view the detailed response data from the perspective of the different genders, or maybe departments, check you have asked the employee to indicate their own gender and/or department.
Don't Ask Anymore Questions Than You Need To
Consider all the questions in the survey and look for questions that are not 'need to know'.
Test The Link And Try Completing The Survey
Publish the survey and then send the survey's link to a number of people who will be willing to test the survey. By completing the survey yourself you will get a feel for how the respondent will view the survey. From your own and others feedback stop and make adjustments to the survey as required.
Repeat this process until you are happy with the survey.
Check The Data
Take time to view the online summary results of the test data and confirm that the data is being collected in a manner that can be properly analyzed and that will give meaningful results.
Step 5 - Promoting And Deploying The Survey
Where all or the majority of employees have access to the internet or company intranet deploying the online survey is as easy that ABC, either via email or by establishing a link to the survey from your own website or Intranet.
Where there are some or many employees that do not have direct access to the internet there are a number of alternatives that can be used from issuing the survey in printed form, providing a shared terminal or giving them an incentive to complete the survey at home.
Anonymous Responses?
There is a choice to allow all surveys to be completed anonymously. Allowing a survey to be anonymous may encourage employees to speak their minds enabling the survey to provide 'a warts and all' report, in turn giving management an opportunity to address underlying problems before they become serious.
However, allowing anonymous comments also allows employees to be more cavalier and flippant with their responses. Some organizations would therefore only want to consider comments where employees are prepared to stand by their convictions and that will also provide an opportunity to follow up the specific concerns of individual employees.
The decision to allow anonymous responses or not will, among other factors, be down to the individual organization, the specific nature of the survey, the surrounding circumstances, the management style and the existing employer/employee relationship.
Step 6 - Monitoring The Survey
While the survey is in progress you will be able to view the summary results online and also monitor in real-time the number of surveys that have been both started and completed.
If after a few days the number of completed surveys falls short of the expected target it is advisable to send periodic reminders to employees asking them to complete the survey.
Step 7 - Analyzing The Results
There are no hard and fast rules for analyzing the data. Much depends on the individual survey, the questions asked and the number of responses.
Most surveys will benefit from many of the results being displayed in graphical as well as tabular form.
When first analyzing survey data often a number of 'headline' results will immediately stand out that will provide you with a general overview and, providing the right questions have been asked, give you an instant assessment of the mood throughout the organization as a whole.
Where the results give areas of concern a more detailed analysis may be advisable. For example if employees were asked if they felt the organization provided equal opportunities to both genders and 25% gave a negative response it would be useful to know the gender split of the organization and also to look at what the gender split was of the 25% that answered negatively. Was the negative view shared by employees of both genders, evenly spread throughout the organization, or of a particular gender from a particular department?
There is a method of reporting that presents the result data in tabular and/or graphical form allowing those who are interested in the results to view the raw data.
Often used as a compliment to the first, another method is to interpret the results and provide an analysis of the data and offer a view as to what the meaning is behind the results, what circumstances may have contributed to the results being as they are and, where the results indicate a negative, what initiatives could be taken. Such analysis if done by a single individual is likely to be very personal, if done by a committee it is still likely to be objective and therefore open to interpretation.
Step 8 - Further Action
Probably the most important step is the last. An employee survey will either confirm that the perfect organization exists or it will highlight areas that are less than perfect by identifying individual and common concerns.
It may be that further more detailed surveys are required that target specific areas. For example the survey may reveal that employees working in a particular department are collectively unhappy, but the reasons for their dissatisfaction may not be clear. A smaller, specifically targeted follow-up survey may help reveal the root causes.
When employee surveys are periodically run an organization that has taken steps to address issues will see their efforts reflected in subsequent survey responses. How to Use Your Subconscious Mind Power for Creating Success, Wealth & Health

By John Meaden

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

The potency of the subconscious mind has become a hot subject in the world of personal achievement for over a hundred years now. But it is only in relatively recent years that we've had proof from a scientific level, including quantum physics, about how the use of our subconscious mind power has a greater influence over how we attract situations into our lives. Increased success, wealth and health can all be experienced by knowing how to fully understand and put to use the power of our thoughts.
When the book and film "The Secret" was launched, and since that time increasing numbers of people have become aware of the power of the subconscious mind and how it is linked to the law of attraction. If you want to discover how this great secret of success and prosperity will allow you to attract your ideal lifestyle, there are a few points you need to understand:
Your subconscious mind power is your greatest gift
Everybody believes that the most significant element which gives power to individuals is the gift of free will. Primarily human beings have the option of totally reinventing their own subconscious conditioning according to the things they choose to think about on a constant basis...and this is the key, as our lives are moulded by our most dominant thoughts. It isn't just a case of 'you are what you eat', it is more importantly 'you become what you think about'.
This concept has essentially been around for thousands of years, as in fact one of the authors of the Old Testament explained the fact that "as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is." However exactly what does this suggest with regards to the power of the Law of attraction together with attracting affluence, health and success?
Just take a look at some of the wealthiest men and women on the planet who have lost their fortunes and consequently managed to completely rebuild them from scratch. Do you think this is just luck?
Is it possible that these people could end up that lucky twice in a lifetime? In spite of the fact that a large number of people have also been researched or have written their own books about precisely how they made it happen, most people are unable to copy their particular accomplishments. That's simply because it isn't the method of principles that is applied which makes someone financially successful, healthy or successful within their relationships...it is actually about the individual applying the principles.
Which means that if you would like develop into the type of person who is able to very easily attract much better health, wealth and success into your life, your primary task is to use your subconscious mind power to reprogram yourself for prosperity.
Once you begin doing this you are going to produce the identical subconscious conditioning which has made other individuals prosperous. It really is just a matter of time before your actions and habits begin providing outcomes which are consistent with that thought process. But there's another side to using the power of the subconscious mind which is even more awe-inspiring and amazing than that.
The Power of the Subconscious Mind and your connection to the Universe
Over the past hundred years, physicists have found that we are located within an enormous energy field and that also everything comprises of energy. The appearance which something is in (solid, liquid or matter) depends on the vibrational condition of this energy.
The intriguing thing about this is that you utilize the power of the subconscious mind to alter your own conditioning, and this starts the process of establishing a different form of vibration on your body. If the different kind of vibration is in sync with the energy of precisely what you really want, you will end up drawn to the things that you desire.
You are going to see them more regularly and you will be presented with flashes of inspiration from your subconscious mind which will enable you to take the appropriate action that will attract these things to you
Recently, this way of thinking has become more mainstream thanks to films like 'the secret' and is more commonly known as the "law of attraction".
The law of attraction claims that the things that you possess in your life are caused by your current subconscious programming developing a vibration inside you that automatically attracts the things that you desire.
One thing is certain here, and that is the fact that learning to understand and harness your subconscious mind power is vitally important in achieving anything in your life. You become successful, wealthy and healthy 'first' in your mind, and then it comes to pass in your physical reality. It is that simple.

What Is Behind the Fear of Success?

By Ann Vertel

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

What do you suppose will happen when you finally achieve all you've dreamed of? Aside from the expected upticks in your income and the ability to buy more things, travel more, invest more, and do more of what you really enjoy, what else could happen?
If you're like a lot of people, you haven't really looked at the downside to achieving all that success. You may have some vague notion that things will change, and they most certainly will, but you may also have assumed that all those changes will be good ones.
At least that's what your conscience thinks. If you have a fear of success, your subconscious has been actively engaged in ensuring that none of those things happen by working diligently to keep you comfortably at status quo.
Fear of success is a hidden, subconscious belief that if you actually become successful, dire consequences will ensue. It means that no matter how badly you want to achieve success, no matter how hard you work for it, and no matter how strong your will is to achieve it, your subconscious will do everything in its power to prevent it. And trust me, the subconscious is far more powerful than you might expect.
If you have a fear of success, you may experience one of five anxieties when you think about your goal. Simply anticipating your success can trigger these subconscious anxieties and lead to the complete opposite of your intended outcome. I'll talk about two of those anxieties here.
The first is a fear that if you become successful other people, those most important to you in particular, will love you less. That you will lose their affection and they will think less of you. If as a child you were criticized or belittled - if your parents held little hope that you would ever achieve anything significant - validating that opinion by complying with it ensures that you do not defy or disagree with their judgment. It keeps you in their good graces. Remaining average confirms for them what they suspected all along. You don't make them angry by defying their opinion and they reward you by continuing to approve of your current potential.
You can work for their approval or work for results, but you can't do both.
The second anxiety is a fear that you will not be able to handle an increase in status. It is a fear of increased responsibility. Naturally as you become more successful you will gain more responsibility. The benefits of achieving success might be appealing, but the change to who you will become and the responsibility that goes along with it, might feel unnerving. Perhaps we're just not up to taking on that type of significance - we'll feel like a fraud or we'll feel embarrassed. Maybe we'll be expected to say and do and be things that just don't feel comfortable. Maybe we'll humiliate ourselves by trying to do more than we think we are capable. Seeing who we could be and actually stepping into that role require different sets of skills.
There is good news. These subconscious anxieties aren't real, they are phantom thoughts that take up residence in our underlying beliefs to keep us from stepping up and stepping out so we don't hurt ourselves. They're just beliefs. And beliefs can be changed.

Business Coach Certification - The Need for Business Certification

By Rafael Tassini

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

There is a growing need for business coaches these days. Even though one might think that business owners would be reluctant to spend the money to hire a business coach in the current economic slump, many are consulting help because they do not want to go under as so many other companies have. Coaching, then, can be a lucrative career where you are able to help others. There are coaches by the dozen online, but few hold a business coaching certification or credential. The certification for coaches in business is gained through a challenging course and qualifying exam.
This credential sets you apart from those who merely want to give their opinion over and over. Certified business coaches have the tools needed to assess a business and recommend actions that will improve the efficiency of the company. Training and certification help to teach and train coaches looking to do so in business, but it also helps business owners understand how to raise business capital. The honor of helping businesses thrive and expand is a mission that is strengthening the national and global economy. It is a part of enabling business owners to develop companies that run basically on their own.
A coaching certification course is one which teaches the tools of the trade of modern business. Knowing how to assess a business from the inside out requires looking at the company as a big picture made up of smaller parts. What parts are clogging the wheels of productivity? A coach can see more effective methods of running the business as a whole, as well as within a single part. They also help business owners move into the age of technology, with mobile data interfaces, company internet presence, and more. The fresh eyes of a business coach can see the areas that have been overlooked by a busy business owner.
While many former business owners might have great advice about what they did, business coaches who have been through rigorous training to earn a coaching certification in business have the knowledge and skills to help a wide variety of businesses and situations. They can effectively use their knowledge of models and processes to assess and improve the current business model. The certification credential can be added to a business card, resume, website, and more. Choosing a certification course includes selecting curriculum and instructor that you respect. An instructor with a successful background in business coaching is essential. This way students get an overall view from curriculum paired with the practical advice of a person who has been there before.

Business Coaching Certification - Joining the Business Coaching Field

By Rafael Tassini

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Business coaching is a growing industry that provides the service of consulting or coaching for business owners and CEO's. The leaders who run companies sometimes need an outside perspective to survey the operations and assess where productivity is being slowed. These coaches can provide analysis, advice, support, and new knowledge, especially in the areas of ways to raise capital or business use of technology. The best coaches have earned their coaching certification credentials and are fully qualified to do these jobs. However, there are some coaches out there who have little to no experience or training in the field.
Business leaders seeking the services of a business coach should check to see if they have their coaching certification. This is gained through a strenuous training class that focuses on the practical application of business coaching principles followed by a rigorous qualifying exam to earn the certification. These courses provide students with study guides and memorization tools to help them learn the tools, processes, and formulas that have worked in the field of business as well items specific to coaching in business. These include learning how to acquire clients and lead business leaders. The clients of coaches in business are not used to being in the role of a follower, so there are special techniques and interpersonal skills that can increase the success of the business coach and the business leader with whom they are working.
Coaching certification courses teach students how to be effective and efficient in their own businesses to make profits soar. It would not speak well of the doctor is he was continually sick, right? Obviously the business coach must use their own expertise in their own business as well. The courses also train students in the best practices of business coaching. Students also learn how to structure a relationship with the client to be most effective at improving the productivity of their business.
So, who becomes a coach in business? Well, those that have had successful careers in business leadership and want a change of scene or pace might gain their business coaching certification. A person who has great analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills might seek it as a career from the beginning. Much like a sports coach, it does help if the business coach has been in business at least a little. Sometimes a role like this opens up in a corporation and people need training so they take the course to qualify.

By Gareth Parkin

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Business organisations have experimented with different modes of advertising with the gradual change of time. To carry out brand publicity in the earlier days, various forms of print media were used. The focus shifted with the introduction of electronic means. The off late development is that of the internet. During all these three distinct era, business promotional gifts were always present as a mode of brand promotion. All of us must have noticed that advertisement in publications reduced due to the increased efficiency of air time and similarly online has outshone the previous link. Here, we see a decrease in the importance of the former with the involvement of the later conduits of advertisement. But promotional gifts had a consistent presence during all the phases. Distributing business gifts is thus not a new trend. However, their use has witnessed a spur in the contemporary times.
There are certain reasons that account for the increased application of corporate gifts. They can be categorised under the following headings:-
Cost-Effective: Business promo gifts are comparatively less costly than the conventional channels of advertisement. They also enjoy a reduced cost than the web media. Financial resources can be better utilised with investment on promotional items. More numbers can be procured within the restrained budget amount. The profit earned in this process leads to undertaking of numerous such promotional campaigns over large geographical areas. This surely encourages an efficient media planning, ultimately resulting in a greater brand exposure.
Competitive Edge: Competition in business has increased manifold in just matters of few decades. In the rush to score high on the other, competitive edge is a prerequisite. In this scenario, where all the other mediums are not that effective, promotional gifts have made their way to the fore due to their efficacy. They showed the prowess of rendering distinctness to a particular brand over the other.
Appealing: Where all the outlets of propagating the brand message are visual, promotional products have their tangibility to harp on. Here lies their factor of appeal. The print ads are flipped over, the TVCs vanish with the blink of an eye and ads on websites are non-existent once you shut down your computer. We can now very well realise that the persistent presence of promotional business gifts before the eyes, their regular and frequent use gets the brand image embedded in the memory of the audience.
Durability: The longevity of the business gifts also accounts for their increased usage as promotional materials. The extended period of presence results in stressing the brand identity in the current consumers. Moreover, brand exposure to those in close interaction with the core recipients makes for a large base of potential customers too.
